Project brief

Our challenge was to revamp the society's image to appeal to students while maintaining its reputation as a serious organization. We analyzed the old brand and found that it blended in with the rest. During our discovery phase, we unearthed some valuable insights - we have "lots of diversity," "low engagement," and "fun sells."

Armed with this knowledge, we turned our attention to the campus and realized that one thing connected everyone at UFV to the Student Union - the Student Union Building. With its unique angles and recognizable shape and materials, the SUB towers over the trees and creates a lasting icon for students. It is a hub for excited students seeking their passions built with resourceful, plentiful and tough material. We drew inspiration from the very architecture of the building, and wove it together with the various passions that drive the UFV student body. This seamless fusion created a powerful connection between the students and the Student Union's mission, birthing a fresh new brand that allows society to shine brighter.

Through our creative process, we emerged with a brand new image that captured the essence of the society and its connection to the campus. It was a bold and innovative image that broke away from the mundane and captured the attention of students and external parties alike. Ultimately, our efforts paid off, and we successfully elevated the society's image to new heights.
